We ship live plants bareroot. This means the plant you will receive will be removed from its pot, the growing medium rinsed off and the plant packaged to retain moisture in the root system. This is to comply with USDA regulations - not our choice. For this reason, only plants hardy enough to withstand this treatment can be shipped. This includes succulents, early spring perennials, and a select few other plants. We also require USPS Priority shipping be used to ensure a short and successful transit to you. On the upside of it, shipping is a great deal less expensive without the soil!
We want our customers to be successful gardeners and request that you unpack your package immediately upon deliver and put your plants back into a growing medium as soon as possible. As there are many unknowns involved in shipping plants, we cannot guarantee them. We can guarantee that plants will be healthy and pest free when leaving us and packaging will be careful, to ensure the plant's health. Should you encounter a problem with your shipment, please contact us. No refunds will be given, but replacements will be considered, if supplies allow.
We also ship cuttings from some of our plants which are easy to start and follow the same careful packaging techniques to help keep healthy. Cuttings from succulents and certain other plants are easy to to get rooted. Please let us know if you need instructions for getting your starts going.
Customers can also pick up their plants from us at either our greenhouse or if we are doing a local market. Delivery is available, for a fee, to be determined based on how far away the customer is.
