This is possibly the best Brugmansia cultivar to grow in our Western Washington climate. A strong, vigorous grower, it can get over 8' tall in one season (in a big container), and is a prolific producer of big flowers. It doesn't mind the cool summer nights in the Puget Sound area and winters over well, with protection.
Blooming continuously throughout the summer, the blooms from Dr. Seuss are huge and incredibly fragrant. One can almost tell the time with this brug, because it begins perfuming the entire neighborhood about two hours before sunset. Dr. Seuss's flowers hang nearly vertical and are very large at about 12" long. Because of its strong growth habit, it requires frequent watering.
Larger size plants will be ready to go after the first day of spring.
